Gen X women, what could podcasting make possible for you?

Hello Reader,

I hope your week is going well and you are staying hydrated. I have been deep in research of these new worlds that are opening up for women. Even the Small Business Administration is finally recognizing content creators and a "real" job and an actual business model. It is a multi-billion dollar industry and we as Women of Color, and Black women are still behind the curve. So you now I am on a mission. Mission 1000 has been born.

I've also been talking a lot about the shifts happening in podcasting and why I believe there's room for more women, especially Gen X women, to enter the landscape. We have 20, 30, sometimes 40 years of experience, knowledge, and stories that people can learn from, and I believe we're entering a season when that experience has more value than ever.

People are looking for meaningful conversations, fresh perspectives, and insights from people who have actually lived through the things they're trying to figure out. You don't have to be a celebrity or an influencer to build an audience. You have to have something worth sharing and a way to connect with the people who need to hear it.

As the host of the Black Women Amplified podcast, I've experienced firsthand what happens when you create space for women's voices and stories. And my own journey has shown me that opportunities can come from places you never expected.

I never imagined I'd attend Cornell University, have 90-minute conversations with people I once considered my heroes, or work with Nasdaq and see my photograph on the side of their building in New York City. I couldn't have mapped out those experiences in advance, but they became part of my story. That's why I believe a podcast can be so much more than a show. It can be a bridge to new audiences, relationships, and possibilities you haven't even considered yet.

And that's why I'm on a mission to bring 1,000 more women into the podcasting landscape.

I created the Authority Podcasting Class™ to help you take the first five steps toward developing your own show. This isn't about simply turning on a microphone and recording. This audio class, worksheets, and workbook is about developing a show with a purpose, understanding what you want to share, and figuring out how to bring your expertise to people beyond your existing circle. I'll help you establish the foundation, and then your own ingenuity and experience will take it from there.

You may start a podcast to share what you know and discover new professional opportunities, meaningful connections, or a renewed sense of what's possible for you. Especially in our 50s and 60s, I want us to see this season as an opportunity for new beginnings, not a reason to make ourselves smaller.

The Authority Podcasting Class™ is now $97, and I'm offering 10% off through November for women ready to get started.

Use code [MISSION1000] to enroll for $87.30.

You've spent years building your expertise. Now let's explore what you can do with it.
